MAGICAL WORLD

04th August 2015, New Delhi

There are places which always remain in your wish list and somehow you are not been able to visit those places. I'd crossed Tuglakabad fort n numbers of times and each time i used to cross this place, i always wondered about what's lies behind the thick wall of the forts.. every time i made a plan it went for a toss and somehow i never been able to go there since i had been living in Delhi for last 12-13 years.

This picture is from my visit to the fort (at last after decades) last month. I wonder what these kids are searching for - a magical world, indeed!

THE CHAOTIC SURAJKUND FAIR

10th Feb 2015, New Delhi

Surajkund craft fair is an annual event and on weekends, its jam packed. When you see thousands of people around you, with hardly any space to stretch, you tend to get irritated. I know most of the people will and so do I. But I had the motivation to keep going J

This year theme is Chhattisgarh and the fair focus on promoting the culture of the state though crafts, music and other art forms. If it’s not crowded it’s a nice place to spend some time.

I spent almost 4 hours at the fair and I could hardly watch any performance – neither a dance form nor I could enjoy the music forms. The sole reason was that the people of Delhi/NCR are so friendly that they don’t allow them to perform at all, and instead they participate themselves. All I could see was local dancing everywhere without thinking where and for what purpose they have come to the place. Truly common sense goes for a toss.

Amid all these chaos I noticed these 2 women in one of the Chhattisgarh traditional houses built at the fair working with lot of patience and unperturbed by the crowd.

They being our guest show more complacencies than the host.

Sad!

Foggy Morning !

19th Jan 2015, New Delhi

You sleep late thinking about how you could have done this done that…. worried, frustrated and what not… and suddenly you wake up too early in the morning. You try to sleep but can’t… your mind continuously ponder over things which holds on to you forever.

And when such things happens to you focus on smaller things in life which can give you immense peace. On one such early morning when Sun was still hiding down the east, I got out of the bed, looked around and started clicking this beautiful night. The fog was all around and a distant street light was filling the space to give this beautiful yellowish texture.

Indeed it was a pleasure to the mind!
